What is MIS Report?

Internal reporting is of great importance in any organization. The essence of internal reporting lies in conveying the tasks which have been assigned to individuals A management information system (MIS) indicates the altogether internal controls of a business covering the application of people, documents, technologies, and procedures by management accountants to solving business problems such as costing a product, service or a business-wide strategy.

What is the difference between business management information and ordinary information?

There is a vast difference between business management information system and regular information system. One of the reasons may be the fact that whereas regular information is just a collection of ordinary information, management information is required for the operational activities of an organization. It is also required for supporting human decision-making process like Decision Support Systems, Expert systems, and Executive information systems.

What does the MIS Report include?

The MIS Report includes a great number of things. They are the following:

• IT spending: The MIS Report is a record of all the expenses that was incurred by the company for the last month (in many cases it is calculated in terms of semesters or 6 months and sometimes it is calculated in terms of the entire year).

• Communication with supply chain: The MIS Report is also a combination of the supply chains with communication report.

My Information Systerm

From the morning to night i use many many information systems.
1) Message to my brother
2) Help my uncle on his factory
3) E-mail to my friends


Message to my brother - I wake up in the morning and message to my brother to get some chocolates for me.For that i use mobile.For this IS five components are as follows.
1 Hardware- That is mobile. i used mobile to convey my message so it became a hardware.
2 Software - Software is from mobile company. Java was the software which i had use for the message along with hardware.
3 Data - Data is which i have typed in the message that is " Hi bro get some chocolates from dollar shop"
4 Procedure - After typing message i pressed send button than procedure came into existence.
5 People - I am People who want to convey this data through a hardware with the help of software to another person.
So this is my first information system which i had used.

Help my uncle on his factory - My uncle is manufacturer of some food products. So i visited their factory frequently. Today i had holiday so i decided to go there.I packed some food product with some machines.So components of IS on this case are as follows.
1 Hardware - Hardware was machine on which i was working.
2 Software - Software is that which commands all the activities of machines which i decided.
3 Data - Data is timing labeling date amount etc which was entered in the software during packing.
4 Procedure - I putted row materials on one side and got finished goods on other side that is procedure.
5 People - I am a person who was working on hardware.


Email to my friends - I was e-mailing to my friends on the occasion of 26th January.so in this case i use another information system.
1 Hardware - I use my laptop to mail so laptop is hardware that is clear.
2 Software - I was using windows ultimate so it became my software.
3 Data - I wrote "blah blah blah blah................friends" that is data which is a massage i have passed through yahoo messenger.
4 Procedure - Message was send and displayed to his screen. From the sending to receiving data transfers from one browser to another that is called procedure.
5 People - I am people who sent the e-mail.

So information system works here and same works with them with whom i communicate.

When I was working with NAVNEET publications ltd.I have seen some business processes.

Management Process:
                                      Is the process of Planning and Controlling the performance of an organization.

• Planning - As per my experience I have marked some important things of the business that shows planning is an important thing. In Navneet Publications, Area sales managers and General Manager discuss about the last month sales with the Directors of the company. Me and my senior which was the head of department shows them statistics of expanses, sales,  revenue. On the basis of these information they decide plan for next month as well as for the whole year.So this is how they made plan and do implement.And archive goals.
• Controlling -  It can check errors and make corrective actions which can help to achieve goals in desired period of time. In Navneet Publications this process done by head of all the departments.Eg. like head of the account department controls all of the activities done by accountants.Sales manager controls all activities of sales department.which can give benefit of cost cutting to the organization.

Operation Process:
                                 Is the core process of the firm which creates primary value for the company.

• Purchasing - Navneet is manufacturer of stationery products so they buy row materials form other companies (EXAMPLE  to make books they buy Paper, Glue, Machinery, etc..)
• Manufacturing - After getting row materials they start process on it. (EXAMPLE after getting paper, Glue, they start process of cutting, printing, packing etc) And row materials turns into Finished Goods.
• Advertising - With help of advertising people (Consumer and Customer)will know about the product.(EXAMPLE advertising of finished goods by internet, merchants, agents, advertising agencies, posters..etc)
• Marketing - With the help this component Navneet knows about the demand and supply.(EXAMPLE Navneet represent its brand by look wise, benefit wise, and people pull the product through retailers and it comes to nNavneet at the end.
• Sales - And at the end product has been sold through distribution channels.(EXAMPLES Navneet got orders for books and Navneet sales its product to consumers through mediators, like wholesalers, retailer or direct from own outlets..)

Other Supporting Process:
                                           Other processes covered the core process it includes Call center, Technical support etc.

• Call center - 24/7 call center helps consumer if they have any questions about product. need support to use product .(Knowledge about product, How they made? Is it Eco friendly? Why is it use for environment? etc)so it generates revenue and trust for the company.
• Technical support - It helps consumers if they need any technical support.(This component is mostly use for electronic things)

So this is how main three business process has been done by the Navneet as per my knowledge.

My Personal Goals

I am Samarth Gajjar. I am from average family.My dad is civil engineer and mom accountant. When i was about finished my graduation i was not serious about my future i can say it was not clear what i wanted to do. But soon after i have seen some great personality around me, i was impressed with them, like how they live , how they talk, how they take decisions, etc..
I was thinking all the time about it ."Why they are different then others? How they are different then others?" and finally i have got a clue, i have got idea, i have got GOAL in my life i was little cleared about my goals. Some of them goals are very important for me than my self. I can say it is my wish which will going to be true that i am sure.

I am very serious about my goals but also enjoy my every moments ,good or bad whatever because i believe that everything is part of life so just live it with positive attitude. I want to do for me is study, i want to become always a student and learn new things.(ALL IS WELL)

My Employment History

Whenever i Remember about my first job i get exited..
I have got my first job after my graduation and during my post graduation. It was in a veri huge company called "NAVNEET PUBLICATIONS". I t is the company who made stationery priiducts for students, office and kids.
It was my honer to work with this company.

I was selected for the post of Back Office Area Supervisor. It was a really challenging job, i wanted to take daily reports from the sales people, prepare sales expanses in excel sheets, Manage expances and report to SAP(Systematic Application Programming), in short i wanted to maintain records of sales people.I enjoyed my job because every employee of the company are very helpful, kind in nature, and respective. I learned many things from my job, Even my staff members organized a small party for me when i got my visa for Canada. My employment history was very good, i was always helping my colleagues at the job place and i am willing become a part of this organization once again if i get chance after my studies.

My Educational Achievements

I am Studying in Sheridan college (CANADA).
I was average student from the starting, and my favorite subjects are maths and accounts. I did my 12 plus graduation in commerce field and as bonus post graduation in financial markets. I was also good in sports i was the winner of my college wally-ball team. I studied in INDIA, i was studying in different medium and in the starting of the college it was very difficult for me to co op with teachers but soon after i have got grip in language.

I learned many things from my teachers. Sheridan gave me opportunity to compete with other student and i am more than happy to take challenge.

I also found some difference between study of my home country and Canada, It is really exiting to study in new environment and with different teaching techniques.

Today i am in 2nd semester of my Business finance and all subjects are quiet easy and very interesting. This my first post on my blog and i am really exited that even rite now i am learning something new.
